Carolyn Ford

English Teacher

Carolyn is from eastern Canada. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and a Bachelor of Education from University of Northern British Columbia. She is a certified teacher who takes pride in professional growth. Carolyn has been teaching internationally for thirteen years, having spent the last three years in China. A global mindset and an appreciation for different educational systems stem from teaching and learning in China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Canada. Carolyn is well versed in all aspects of teaching English from language to literature, and experienced teaching all levels from kindergarten to senior high school. Her English classes help students appreciate diversity, communicate effectively, understand the power of words, and contribute to the global community through critical thinking and expressive writing. Carolyn values building strong relationships and dedicates herself to helping her students set and reach goals. Her goal at Dulwich Suzhou is to make a positive impact and enrich student learning. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, appreciating different cultures through music, art and food, hiking, volunteering, and baking.
