- Parenting with Confidence: First Aid Training
We understand the importance of first aid training, and every family needs this for health assurance. This time, we invite a professional, Dr. Stephen Misch, who is from SinoUnited Health to provide our community with the opportunity to learn essential CPR and Heimlich Maneuver skills, with hands-on practice on site.
Dr Misch introduced many common symptoms in our daily lifes, such as animal bites, poisoning, allergies etc and explain the signs and how to deal with it. Parents also had chances to learn the knowledge of CPR and did the CPR practice and AED.
Important phone calls:
120 is for Ambulance
110 is for Police
119 is for fire brigade
Here is sharing from Mr Austin Somuah, Lexi in 1S ‘s dad, who also joined the training:
Personally I learned that chest compressions should be delivered at a rate of 100-120 pushes per minute before using the AED. Additionally, for burns, it is important to run the affected area under cool (not iced) water for at least twenty minutes, avoid the breaking of blisters and the use of greasy ointments, as these can worsen the injury.
Thanks so much for SinoUnited Health’s support and taught our parents such useful knowledge.
