Elizabeth Afenyo Eke
Primary School Classroom Teacher
Elizabeth’s educational journey began in Ghana, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Project Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). She later pursued further studies, obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and a Master’s in Education from the University of Nottingham, UK. These experiences laid a strong foundation for her passion for teaching and lifelong learning.
Elizabeth began her career as an educator at an IB World School in Ghana, learning about the transdisciplinary approach of the PYP (Primary Years Programme) curriculum. It was there that her journey and love for teaching started, allowing her to explore the transformative impact of inquiry-based learning on young minds. She later transitioned to Japan, where she joined an international school that follows the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and taught there for six years. As a classroom teacher, she taught core subjects while also serving as an IPC Learning Leader. This role broadened her understanding of curriculum design and collaborative teaching.
In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys scenic jogging, working out at the gym, FaceTime conversations with her family back home, and experimenting with healthy recipes in the kitchen.
