Dulwich College Suzhou University Offers 2020

Dulwich College Suzhou’s Class of 2020 bring us some fantastic news on the range and quality of university offers they have secured for 2020/21.

The offers span some of the most world-renowned university institutions across USA, UK, Hong Kong, Korea, Canada and Australia.  Institutions include University of Cambridge, Cornell University, McGill University, Wellesley College and the prestigious Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).  KAIST is an extremely competitive institution, and only about 40 students are accepted each year from international schools around the world.  This year, 2 of those offers are with Dulwich College Suzhou students.

Commenting on the news, Andrew Palmer, Director of Counselling at Dulwich College Suzhou said “once again, the graduating students of Dulwich College Suzhou have approached the university application process with rigor, enthusiasm and have firmly kept in their minds the notion of finding their ‘best fit’ institution. We are incredibly proud of their dedication to the process and we celebrate with them as they look to embark on the next stage of their learning journey”.

Our graduation class of 2020 compromises 37 students. By the 1st of April they had received a total of 92 offers in 6 different countries. The 92 offers include 43 offers from the UK, 29 acceptances in the USA, 11 from Hong Kong, 6 from Canada, 2 from Korea, and 1 from Australia.

UK Offers

Among the 41 offers from the UK, 6 are from G5 universities including 2 offers from the University of Cambridge, 2 offers from Imperial College London, and 2 offers from the University College London.

• About G5 Universities – The G5 is a grouping of five English public research universities that was established in early 2004. The members are Imperial College London, The London School of Economics, the University of Cambridge, The University of Oxford, and University College London.
• Additionally, our students hold 6 offers to study Medicine at UK institutions including – University of Birmingham, University of Bristol, University of Manchester, University of Leeds, and Queen Mary University of London.

Among the 29 acceptances from American Universities, 2 are Early Decision acceptances (Cornell & Wellesley College). Additionally, our students boast offers from a wide range of institutions including small liberal arts colleges, large research universities, and Ivy League institutions. Some notable acceptances include: Middlebury College, Cornell University (2), University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, University of California Los Angeles (2), and top art school offers from Parsons School of Design, Rhode Island School of Design, and The New School.

Korea Offers

There are varied times for when students can send applications to Korean Universities. While many current Dulwich College Suzhou students will wait until later in the school year to send their applications, we had a few students send high quality applications in the early rounds.

We are excited to announce that 2 students hold offers at the prestigious Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). This is an extremely competitive institution, and only about 40 students are accepted each year from international schools around the world. We look forward to providing further updates on Korea University offers at a later date.
