DUCKS Mini Marathon

International school suzhou DUCKS Mini Marathon

On Friday 27th September, our DUCKS children had a wonderful day participating in the annual Mini-Marathon. This event encourages our students to be "Trying Tortoises" by pushing themselves, keeping fit and having fun. This year, our runners could choose how many laps they wished to challenge themselves and received house points for each one. At the end of the day, we had a winning house for each year group. It was wonderful to see so many students testing their endurance as they dug-in to reach the finish.

This year, we also had our parents join in by watching through Zoom and participating in a "Parent Mini-Marathon" competition. We challenged our parents to walk, jog or run as many steps as they could in one day. We are delighted to announce that Emily's dad Mike Gates came in first place with a massive 46, 106 steps in one day. Closely followed by Kai and Fia's dad Stewart Aitkenhead who clocked 45, 134 steps. Thank you so much to all our students, families and teachers who participated, we hope you had fun keeping fit!
