Founder’s Day 2023

What a wonderful way to mark DCSZ’s 15-year anniversary in Suzhou! This years Founders Day was a resounding success built on the foundation of our wonderful community of students, families, teachers and friends.  It was a vibrant mix of many different nationalities enjoying food, fun, games, music, dance and festivities from across the world.

Among all of the wonderful things for the Founder’s Day, one of the greatest dedications is from our Country/Region ambassadors who are our parents. Many of them have been in this role for years, and many others have done it for the first time. We are so proud of our dedicated, supportive and enthusiastic parent community who have spent hours and hours of work in preparing and implementing their country/region booth. A big thank you to all of them.

“A big thank you to everyone for the Founder’s Day on 20 May. The community spirit was wonderful, with parents singing and dancing, joint orchestras across Dulwich High School, Suzhou High School and Dulwich College combining, staff getting sponged, cheering on our students and enjoying community mixing and games, friends from across our community getting to know each other better. The international flare was alight in the buzz, flags and food of the global village country booths. It was a culinary extravaganza that I will not forget! Thank you so much to everyone for all your creative, hard work, fun and dedication to service through the funds we raised for the 4 causes connected to education materials, Suzhou Children’s Hospital and animal welfare (SAPA). Well done to all the people who won in the lucky draw and thank you again to the many local industries who contributed to that.
