Dulwich College Suzhou Class of 2019 University Offers
Today, we celebrate The Class of 2019’s graduation. With the ceremony this afternoon, followed by the Alleynian Walk and Graduation Ball in the evening, it will be a day to live long in the memory for the Class of 2019 who have worked so hard and experienced so much during their time at Dulwich College Suzhou. We have been lucky to have such a personable and hardworking group of students and we wish them the very best for the future.
The class has done a fantastic job of researching and applying to universities. Our soon-to-be graduates made an average of less than 5 applications per student, showing that they made informed decisions about universities that fit them best. This has translated into an impressive range of offers.
Examples of great outcomes include an offer at Denison University in Ohio, USA with a very generous academic merit scholarship. Denison is known as one of the foremost liberal arts colleges in the world. Another student will be studying Music Performance at Berklee College of Music, a fantastic conservatory located in the heart of Boston. In the UK, students have accepted conditional offers to study Mechanical Engineering at University of Edinburgh, History at University College London and Business and Management at the University of York. In Europe, students will be studying Economics at the University of Amsterdam and Sport Science and the Universidad Catolica de Murcia (Spain). In Canada, a student will be studying Criminology at the University of Toronto.
Indeed, with these courses and others that include a wide-range of degree choices, universities, and countries, we see one of Dulwich College Suzhou’s most diverse range of higher education plans. The list will also continue to grow! Within the next few months more than 10 students will complete application plans with summer and autumn deadlines to Australia, South Korea, and additional countries in continental Europe. It is inspiring to have such a spectrum of talents and interests in the Class of 2019.
Wendy Feherty, Head of Senior School commented “I am delighted to see the breadth of universities and courses that our students will be attending. Our DCSZ alumni is spreading to universities across the world and offering support to each other and giving us much to be proud of. This year’s graduates have gained places at universities which best suit their passions and I am sure the work ethic and humility they demonstrated will continue through their university careers. Good luck with the next step in your journey.”
Wherever they may go in the future, we will be proud of them and we look forward to hearing stories of their successes.
