DCSZ Students Soar to New Heights After Sports Day Success

This year the Junior School and Senior School Athletics Sports Day has moved into the Spring term enabling students to prepare for and take part in a full range of athletic competitions inside and outside of school in the same term. The sun shone brightly above the college making it a perfect day for athletics.

The day started with the Senior School completing the field events (Shot Putt, Long Jump, High Jump and Javelin) and the middle-distance track events (1500M, 800M, 400/300M), then the Junior School were out to complete similar events. The afternoon then culminated in a grand fanale with all the Junior School and Senior School outside to watch the sprint finals.

The day had many highlights, with the Junior School Tug of War was a fantastic spectacle for all to see.   With so many students taking part and the final relays it was another chance to celebrate and exciting day of sports.

Many school records have been broken and these will be shared by the school in the next couple weeks.

Lastly, it was wonderful to see how many parents came along to watch and support the event, it really gave the day a community feel.
