Creating New Ideas through Digital Technology-CREATECH at DCSZ

At DCSZ our students want to make a positive difference in the world. To achieve this, we have been encouraging students to embrace both creativity and technology through CREATECH, a programme exclusively for students who are part of the Education in Motion family of schools.

Why not listen to what our students felt about CREATECH at DCSZ?

Creating positive change requires skills such as creativity and collaboration. Students need to be in an environment where they feel safe to be curious, ignite their passions and create new ideas. One idea may work or may not, what is important is the process of creating and embracing new ways of thinking through technology and inspiring learners to take to take them further.

Our DCSZ students clearly love using digital technology. The CREATECH programme makes learning fun, engaging and, even when students step out of their comfort zone experimenting with new digital ideas, it is an exhilarating experience for all.

The digital environment is a space where students feel they have the freedom to create and express themselves in ways that perhaps they wouldn’t in a traditional classroom setting.  This unleashes new possibilities for exploring their passions and creating new ideas through a digital lens.

Making a positive difference demands new ideas. We are often asked to ‘think outside of the box’ but how do we achieve that in reality?   CREATECH showed our DCSZ students that they have the power to be creative and actively develop new ways of thinking using digital technology.  As part of a new digital generation, I am sure DCSZ students will remember this experience for a long time to come.
