Sarah Tielman
Interim Head of College
Sarah joined EiM as Head of Dulwich International High School Suzhou in 2020 after almost two decades working internationally as a teacher, school leader, and education advisor. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts (Asian Studies) from the University of Western Australia, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Education, a Post Graduate Diploma in Asian Studies, and a Master of Arts from Murdoch University, Australia.
Sarah began her career in education as a teacher of English as an Additional Language (EAL) and languages (Indonesian), teaching students from Reception through to Year 13. Her success in the classroom led to her promotion into leadership roles. In addition to her current role, over the past decade, Sarah has held the position of Head of School at both an international school in Indonesia and at a large independent school in Australia.
She has a passion for, and experience leading, programs and schools which are future-focused and make use of a range of innovative structures, learning technologies, and digital tools, and has recently led EiM wide initiatives focused on enhancing staff and student wellbeing.
