Odette Holweg
DUCKS & Junior School Teaching Librarian
Odette graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Education (Honours) and an Associate Arts degree. She then completed a Master of Information Services (Teacher Librarian) at Edith Cowan University. During her almost 20 years in teaching, Odette has worked as a classroom teacher, music, drama and substitute teacher in Tasmania, Canberra and Adelaide Australia. This experience has given her a wide perspective on teaching and learning in schools. Odette has worked in both government, Catholic and Independent schools, before moving to Suzhou in 2019 to join Dulwich College Suzhou as the DUCKS and Junior School Teacher Librarian. In her spare time, Odette enjoys activities which support the environment. She was awarded a "Local Hero" status in Tasmania for environmental work within her community and, since coming to Suzhou has founded "Hike for Habitat", a group pursuing plogging events around Suzhou for like minded individuals.
