Junior School Classroom Teacher

Julian graduated with a BA Hons degree in English from Manchester Metropolitan University. He began his teaching in South Korea where he progressed to the position of head ESL instructor. On his return to the UK, he went on to obtain a Primary PGCE from the University of Wolverhampton. For the past 4 years, he has worked as a Key Stage 2 teacher at a high achieving school in Julian was born in Shrewsbury, England and grew up around the area until he moved to Manchester to attend university. He graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. After living and working in Manchester for several years, he decided to move to South Korea with his wife to teach English as a foreign language. He lived in a city called Guri-Si which was located on the outskirts of Seoul and spent four happy years working in a job that he loved and living in a place that felt like ‘home’. In his fourth and final year of working as an EFL teacher, he celebrated the birth of his first daughter with his wife. Consequently, they decided to move back to the UK to be closer to their family. After completing his Primary PGCE at Wolverhampton University, Julian worked at a high achieving primary school in the Midlands for four years as a Junior School teacher. During this time, he was also the Computing Coordinator, a role that enabled him to seek new ways to engage children with the use of learning technologies in the classroom. Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and travelling to exciting places. He also enjoys trying new foods and seeking out local food delicacies.
