A Glasgow native, Chris joins Dulwich College Suzhou having spent the last 6 years as Director of Sport in Houston, Texas. Prior to that, Chris spent the rest of his career in various schools in the west coast of Scotland teaching physical education in the public sector, as well as leading and coaching insuccessful school and club rugby programs. With 13 years as a teacher and 17 years as a coach, he has accumulated experience in delivering Physical Education in Scottish and English National Curriculums, as well as Certificate Sport at Standard Grade and Higher PE (Scotland), as well as GCSE PE, BTEC Sport and the Sports Leader Award.

Chris graduated from the University of Edinburgh's Moray House Institute of Education in 2003, being the third generation of his family to do so following in the footsteps of his mother and grandmother before him.

Chris is an accomplished sportsman having represented Scotland in Rugby at International level and having played for several Premier League Clubs in Scotland, and having won several National Weightlifting Championships and was a County Pentathlete whilst at High School. In order to maintain his active interests, he now enjoys playing football, touch rugby and has acquired a taste for Tough Mudder events.

Chris is looking forward to experiencing the differences of living in the USA and UK, through what Suzhou has to offer. When not staying active, Chris enjoys reading, watching movies and listening to new music.
