Asif Malik

Class Teacher, Head of Junior School Mathematics

Asif's early childhood was spent in his hometown of Bradford. For most of his life, he has lived on the outskirts of West London. Asif studied economics at Royal Holloway, University of London, as an undergraduate and for his masters. He was an economist in the City for nearly eight years before he embarked on a career change into Primary Teaching. After completing his PGCE in 2008, Asif taught in the London Borough of Hillingdon for 4 years and in Istanbul for 2 years where he sampled the beautiful views of the Bosphorus and the delicious Turkish cuisine.

In his teaching career, Asif has held various positions of responsibility including the roles of Head of Year 5, Maths Co-ordinator, English Co-ordinator, Gifted and Talented Co-ordinator, and Science Co-ordinator. He has also coached a range of CCA activities including football, Fobisia Primary Games, cricket, flag football, table tennis and basketball clubs.

In his spare time, Asif enjoys yoga and swimming. He also has a passion for football and American football where he waits impatiently for Liverpool FC and the Oakland Raiders to end their long barren spells. Asif also dabbles in both forms of fantasy football where he aspires to be the next Bob Paisley and Bill Walsh.
