Junior School Classroom Teacher
Jacqueline McQuaid has over 15 years of experience working with children; from leading leisure activities at summer camps in Ireland, America and her hometown Liverpool, to working with children in an educational setting. She graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. Her thesis was focused on how children learn and process information. After conducting her research in a school environment she decided to embark on the well-regarded Graduate Teaching Programme, where she was employed by a fully inclusive primary school in Liverpool to undertake her teaching degree. She spent 8 years in this school and has taught a variety of age ranges and abilities. Here she was also computing coordinator where she created a new computing scheme to be used throughout the school. Jacqueline completed her NPQML with Leeds University in 2017 and is committed to inspire, motivate and develop excellence in others through coaching and mentoring. Jacqueline describes herself as an outgoing, passionate and creative practitioner with a drive to inspire students to excel within and beyond the classroom.
Outside of school, Jacqueline is very creative and uses her artistic flair to bake and decorate cakes. She’s made a few wedding cakes to date and though it’s hard work, she finds it therapeutic. Jacqueline loves to travel and explore new places and is extremely excited to experience new cultures and meet new friends.
