Triumphant Tigers claim back-to-back ACAMIS Golds

On 19 April, the College welcomed schools from the ACAMIS Blue Division for the Blue Division Football Tournament, taking place across three days of competition. With schools from Mongolia, Beijing & Qingdao represented, our DCSZ teams were looking to build upon success of previous years.

Kicking off with a wonderful performance during the Opening Ceremony by our Tiger Taiko group, the opening games began on Thursday afternoon, with dominant victories for both DCSZ Girls & Boys teams against American School of Ulaanbaatar, in front of an excited crowd made up of our Junior School & Key Stage 3 students.

Further success for the host teams followed in the sunshine on Friday, with both teams qualifiying for respective finals with a 100% win record, scoring 60+ goals in the process & conceding only one!

As anticipation reached fever pitch ahead of the Championship Finals on Saturday afternoon, our DCSZ teams remained focused by maintaining the high levels of performance demonstrated throughout the competition to comfortably overcome organised Canadian International School of Beijing teams in both respective finals to claim back-to-back double ACAMIS Golds!

With many of our triumphant Tigers leaving us this term, all students involved can be extremely proud of their excellent achievements in what was a further showcase of the strength & development in our DCSZ football programme. Go Tigers!
