There's a Power in the Music

Have you ever imagined singing along with singers from all over the world at the same time? Sing Up Day (11 March 2020) is an annual event exactly for this. Singers from all around the world are invited to celebrate the joy of singing and the power that music has on our lives on this day. This is the first year a Dulwich school has participated in this event.

Dulwich College Suzhou Students from Years 1 to 6 celebrated by learning this year’s song, 'There's a Power in the Music' singing it at home with their families and sharing their singing online. Students have also been singing the song together during live Zoom online music sessions. It has been a truly heartwarming experience to sing as a community especially during these isolating times.

During this time, the Music Department created nearly 100 activities for our students from Dulwich College Suzhou, and their efforts and output has been amazing. At Dulwich, we believe every child is a musician, and everyone can sing! It’s just like what we always say at our School: music certainly helps to build bridges to the world - Detur Pons Mondo!
