Year 7 have been learning all about balanced diets and healthy eating. Students have been researching different food groups and what nutrients people need so that they can function correctly. 7S was the first tutor group to go head-to-head in our very own ‘Master Chef 2019’ competition. Each group had to create a 3-course menu that not only looked and tasted good, but also had to include all the major food groups to make it balanced. The judges were impressed by the teamwork and organisation each team displayed, along with some excellent baking skills. Bruschetta, kimchi fried rice, vegetarian sushi, stir fried broccoli and ‘banana surprise’ were amongst the judges' favourite dishes. Congratulations to 7S for a successful competition and winners will be announced next week.
