Performing with Musicians from Idyll Ensemble

Dulwich College Suzhou Music Department is proud to offer great extension opportunities to our students who want to further develop their musical skills, by collaborating and supporting talented and passionate musicians, both locally and from abroad, through our Diversity series and Musician-in-Residence programmes.

Recently, we welcomed selected members of the newly formed Idyll Ensemble. This ensemble was established in 2016 by a group of 6 professional and experienced Korean, Chinese, and Japanese musicians. Idyll Ensemble has staged multiple performances in Suzhou, Hangzhou, and Shanghai. Besides staging professional classical concerts, the members also tutor many of our students.

On 14th December, several of our students participated in a recital together with the musicians of the Idyll Ensemble.

Congratulations to all performers on a fantastic chamber recital! It was truly rewarding for all to witness the joy of creating beautiful music, giving our students a great sense of achievement, whilst building their confidence and artistry. We look forward to their return in 2018!
