- Reprising the Essence of Old Shanghai
The annual Friends of Dulwich Charity Ball took place last Friday 15 March and was wonderfully supported by the Dulwich College community. Our glamourous guests, inspired by the evening’s theme of ‘Old Shanghai’ and were certainly dressed to party the night away. At the start of the eveninig, guests were treated to live music from the Senior School Jazz Band. The ball then formally opened with a performance from our Dulwich Community Taiko Drummers. Later on in the evening, the Havana Reds took to the stage to a full dance floor who embraced their salsa style.
The Children’s Hospital of Soochow University will benefit from the 25,000 RMB which was raised on the night.
A huge thank you to the Friends of Dulwich Committee for organising such a superb evening, ably supported by Esther Thelen from Dulwich College Suzhou.
