International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)

In the Upper Senior School at Dulwich College International, students are offered in the Years 12 and 13 (equivalent to Grade 11 and 12) the internationally recognised IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) as an option – one of the most challenging and rewarding educational programmes for high school students worldwide. Aligned with the IB’s vision, the Diploma Programme develops inquiring, knowledgeable, and compassionate young people who contribute to a better world through intercultural understanding and respect.

Through the study of six academic subjects, complemented by the core components of the Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), students cultivate intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and global awareness. This rigorous and holistic pathway, recognised by leading universities around the world including those in the UK, the US and beyond, equips students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed at university and beyond, preparing them to embrace challenges and make a meaningful impact in the world.

Excellence at Top IB International Schools

2025 marks another milestone for Dulwich College International. Dulwich College Beijing proudly ranks  No.1 in China's IB League within the international schools' category. Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong and Dulwich College Suzhou are also the Top IB international schools in their respective cities, extending Dulwich College International’s remarkable achievement of four consecutive years at the number one position.

What makes this achievement even more remarkable is the long-term trend: for the past four years, Dulwich College International students have averaged 7 points above the global IB average - 20-25% higher than peers worldwide. This highlights the strong academic foundation and the in-depth experience that DCI has with the IB programme, as well as the unwavering commitment and dedication of our teachers, parents and students.
