Class of 2023 University Offers from Top US Universities
With Christmas around the corner, now is the time of the season where many of our Year 13 students are going to start receiving feedback about their university applications – especially those that applied via Early Decision to the US. Each year, there will be some students that receive exciting news around this time, while others may receive information about deferments or denials. Regardless of outcomes, we as a community should join our students to celebrate and support them along the way. Please join me in congratulating the below students -
Alvin C | Duke University
Alvin expressed that Duke is his clear top choice for the future, and I am ecstatic to see him receive this acceptance, because he has approached the university research and application process with the utmost diligence and authenticity. Holding an acceptance rate of 6% last year, Duke University is undoubtedly one of the most selective universities in the world.
Ella H | Middlebury College
Ella is unique in the history of Dulwich College Suzhou, as she is our first recruited NCAA Division III athlete! Beyond her academic prowess, Ella will be joining Middlebury as part of their Women’s Golf Team, and she is the first student athlete to be recruited by the team from a school located overseas! Middlebury is one of the top liberal arts colleges in the US and is highly selective, only accepting 13% of applicants last year. Keeping the above in mind, we celebrate Ella for her accomplishments in and out of the classroom, and we’re excited to see how she’ll balance her future pursuits as a student athlete.
Lucy L | Boston College
Lucy has been accepted to Boston College (BC). BC is Lucy’s top choice school, and we are so pleased for her. BC is a highly selective institution, accepting only about 19% of applicants last academic year.
These decisions by no means define the wonderful young people gracing our hallways, but they do help us to gain a little perspective on the next steps in their post-secondary journey. During Term 2, we will interview those wonderful students and share their stories with the community. We will keep you updated with more university offers as they come along.
