Mark Jones
Head of Senior School
Mark is from Bath in England and has been teaching and leading in international schools in China since 2005. Mark has a PhD from the University College London (UCL), and his research focused on teacher professional development in international schools. He is also an Honorary Postdoctoral Research Fellow with UCL, and he continues to research aspects of international education and teacher professional development. He also has a law degree from the University of Bristol and a MA in Linguistics from the University of Birmingham. Mark has a strong professional interest in staff development, high-performance pedagogical practices, and the effective use of data to support teacher decision-making and enhance the student experience. In his spare time, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, running, reading, and eating out.
