Dulwich College Yangon opens new campus and middle school

On 21 August the founding cohort of students at Dulwich College Yangon Star City arrived for their first day of school. The purpose-built campus, set in the landscaped surroundings of the Star City development in Yangon, is the second campus of Dulwich College Yangon.

The new campus features dedicated indoor and outdoor learning spaces for DUCKS (age 2 – 6), Junior School (age 7 – 10) and Senior School. The Senior School currently goes up to age 13, and will add year groups annually until it is a fully-fledged school for students up to age 18. The Star City campus opens with a faculty of experienced teachers, 47% of whom have joined from other Dulwich College International schools around the world. The founding cohort of students is made up of 12 different nationalities from Toddler to Year 8.

The Pun Hlaing campus of Dulwich College Yangon opened its doors to a new Middle School facility this term, expanding the current DUCKS and Junior School.

The facilities across both campuses include a 350-seat black box theatre, science laboratories, art and design studios, libraries, gymnasia, 25-metre and 50-metre swimming pools and sports fields. “We are honoured to bring these superior facilities to Myanmar at this exciting time for the country”, said Headmaster Daryl Orchard.  “For a world-class education you require excellent teachers and world-class facilities, which we are pleased to have”.
